Biography: Diane Núñez is a landscape architect and award winning quilt artist. Landscape Architecture involves elements of design similar to quilting, using the combination of color, line, pattern, rhythm, and texture. The open spaces in her work allow for light and shadows to further enhance ones perception of the work. It also requires designing two-dimensionally on paper while envisioning its completed three-dimensional form. The same design components play a large role in her fabric constructions. Her fiber work is exhibited at various galleries and shows around the country and can be found in many private collections. Her work leans towards geometric designs, with a prominent repetitive grid structure theme. She has written articles for Quilting Arts Magazine and has appeared on Quilting Arts TV. She is a professional member of Studio Art Quilt Associates and maintains a home studio in Southfield, Michigan. My Classes
